The Youth Positively Empowered Program

The Youth Positively Empowered Program, or YPEP, is a grant projected funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration conjointly operated by Aspire Health Partners. This Prevention program seeks to educate at-risk adolescents about HIV and Substance Use Disorders.

As part of the project, there is an awareness component that is directed at adolescents as well as healthcare providers to emphasize the importance of discussing sexual health issues with patients. To this end, we have developed this brief online presentation which should take between 30 to 45 minutes, including an evaluation and feedback form. We hope to provide you with some useful information that can be used in your daily interactions with patients. We also hope that your efforts are directed towards those populations that are particularly at risk, African American and Latino young men who have sex with men and African American girls.

Please begin by taking the Pre Test to gauge your awareness.
