Support for Mental Health in Orlando, Central Florida Communities

Earlier this year, Aspire received a grant from the Westgate Foundation, the charitable arm of Westgate Resorts headquartered here in Orlando. This generous grant was directed towards our New Horizons program and was used for the “STAR Project”. This project focuses on leadership sessions for youth who successfully completed the program, encouraging them to become peer leaders and role models within their Central Florida schools. The STAR Project aims to help participants adapt to challenging life situations, prevent and reduce substance abuse, explore their own beliefs, and develop healthy coping skills, self-awareness, empathy, and acceptance. This grant empowers students to become positive peer influencers within their communities.
Last week, we had the pleasure of partnering with Christner’s Prime Steak & Lobster for a special fundraising event to celebrate their 31st anniversary. We are incredibly grateful for the Christner family’s unwavering commitment to community philanthropy. The event was a resounding success, with one hundred percent of the dining proceeds (excluding alcohol sales) donated to Aspire Health Partners and The Howard Phillips Center for Children & Families. We are sending another heartfelt thank you to David Christner, an esteemed Aspire Board member, and his wife Alice, for their generous support over the years.
We are also thrilled to tell you about the generous grant we received from the TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank. Thanks to their grant, we were able to begin major renovations and improvements to our Dave’s House Program. These enhancements include replacing roofs, A/C units, and windows, creating a more comfortable and secure environment for the individuals and families we serve. Dave’s House provides residents the opportunity to live permanently in a safe environment with the support of Aspire’s behavioral healthcare resources, allowing them to live independently while receiving additional support as needed.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our community partners and every person who takes part in our mission to provide comprehensive, compassionate and affordable behavioral and mental health care to our beloved Greater Orlando community. Together, we are making a profound impact on the lives of those we serve.
