Summer Vacation Mental Health for Kids and Children

Summer break is here! While our kids are out of school, it is important for us to be mindful of their mental health during this special time of transition. Without the usual structure and parental supervision provided by school, some children may feel lost or are found to act out more frequently. At Aspire, we understand the challenges that come with the change in routine, and we are here to support both children and their families.

I would like to introduce you to two of our programs that cater specifically to children’s mental health needs, for you to keep in mind during this Summer break:

The Access Center provides intake screening services for individuals of all ages who are seeking care. Our compassionate professionals are available for walk-in consultations. This is a community mental health center and designated public receiving facility, offering 24/7 emergency assessments and non-emergency walk-ins during the day.

Our Children’s Outpatient Program offers intensive therapeutic services on-site, in schools, and at home for children and their families. These services include psychosocial rehabilitation, basic living skills training, individual, family, and group therapy. Our experienced team specializes in addressing mental health, behavioral problems, traumatic life events, and co-occurring substance use disorders.

We are committed to providing comprehensive care and support to children and their families. If you would like to learn more about these programs or discuss how we can assist your child, please call us at (407) 875-3700 and select option “3”. Our dedicated team members will be happy to provide you with more information and guide you through the available resources.

Prioritizing the mental well-being of our children is crucial, especially during times of change. We are here to help you navigate this summer break and provide the support your family needs.
