$1,000 Dollar Grant Awarded to the Brevard Group Treatment Home From the Orlando City Foundation

Aspire is pleased to announce that the Brevard Group Treatment Home has been awarded a grant of $1,000 dollars from the Orlando City Foundation. This grant will be used to enhance the program’s recreational activities by purchasing new soccer equipment and supplies for its residents.

The Brevard Group Treatment Home serves 30 at-risk adolescent males, ages 12-15 years old, who are working towards bettering their lives so that they can transition back into the Central Florida community. These underserved boys attend school on-site, participate in individual and group counseling, anger management sessions, and life skill development. This program has a tremendous track record of success therapeutically, having received multiple “Best Practice” awards.

The Orlando City Foundation, which was founded by the Orlando City Soccer Club, has a mission to use the sport of soccer to promote a healthy lifestyle that enables children and families to reach their full potential. For more information, visit their website at www.orlandocitysc.com/foundation.
