Aspire Health Partners Receives $100,000 Grant

Orlando Magic Youth Fund benefits Zebra Coalition providing services to LGBT

Aspire Health Partners was awarded a $100,000 grant from the Orlando Magic Youth Fund as part of the fund’s $1,000,000 grant awards ceremony on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Amway Center. The grant is specifically provided to Zebra Coalition which provides services for LGBT Youth throughout the Orlando area and whose mission is to foster hope, dignity and self-respect in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and all youth (LGBT+) and to provide them an opportunity to grow up in a safe, healthy and supportive environment.

“This is a huge help,” said Heather Wilkie, director of Zebra Coalition. “This grant will help provide support services and housing for LGBT+ youth experiencing homelessness. There aren’t that many organizations that provide resources for LGBT+ youth and we’re the only one in Central Florida that can provide a full continuum of care.”
