Region’s Top Behavioral Health Companies Complete Merger And Launch Aspire Health Partners

The Center For Drug-Free Living, Lakeside Behavioral Healthcare and Seminole Behavioral Healthcare merger creates an integrated system of care.

Orlando, Fla. – Tuesday, July 1, 2014 – Three of the region’s most respected behavioral healthcare companies have merged and formed Aspire Health Partners, creating one of the Southeast’s largest providers. The merger was legally completed July 1, 2014.

Aspire Health Partners is the strategic collaboration of what was The Center For Drug-Free Living, Lakeside Behavioral Healthcare and Seminole Behavioral Healthcare. The merger will result in a more effective and efficient system of care designed to increase client and community access to services.

“We have spent the past year completing this merger with thought and purpose to strategically maximize the strengths of each organization and improve patient access and increase efficiencies in service delivery,” said Dave Heffernan, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The merger improves coordination of services, enables development of new programs, allows flexibility, and contributes toward reducing the stigma associated with seeking help for behavioral health issues.

Aspire Health Partners will bring more value to clients, the community and stakeholders through relevant and effective prevention, treatment and recovery programs.

“Our goal is that we will provide an innovative and more efficient level of care so that our clients have a foundation and a system that helps them aspire to and acquire happier, healthier and more independent lives,” Heffernan added.

Aspire Health Partners will have approximately 1,300 employees with an estimated budget of $90 million with services in Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Brevard counties.
