Back to School for Orange County, Seminole County, and other Central Florida Schools: Mental Health Programs in School

August is National Back to School Month, and here in Central Florida a new school year is about to begin. It’s a perfect time to recognize the many transitions and challenges students face as they return to the classroom. For some children and teens, this can be an exciting time full of opportunity. For others, it may bring anxiety, instability, or emotional struggles.

At Aspire Health Partners, we understand that academic success and emotional wellness go hand-in-hand. That’s why we are proud to provide school-based mental health programs that ensure students receive the support they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Here are just a few of the programs we offer across Central Florida schools:

  • ALPHA
    Available in select Orange County Neighborhood Centers for Families, ALPHA provides free counseling, academic assistance, character education, mentoring, and family support—Monday through Friday.
  • New Horizons
    An evidence-based counseling program in select middle and high schools, New Horizons offers individual, group, and family counseling focused on communication, coping skills, anger management, and substance use prevention.
  • Back on Track
    In partnership with Orange County Public Schools, this program provides students facing disciplinary action related to substance use with an alternative to expulsion. It includes counseling for both students and their families.
