Nurse Appreciation Message

For the 20th year in a row, nursing has ranked as the most trusted profession in America. Here at Aspire, we are surrounded by these superheroes. We simply couldn’t do our jobs without them.

When we think about ourselves or a loved one getting sick or injured, we always hope that the process of recovery will be quick. Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case. Sometimes, recovery takes longer. With that in mind, this week we thought about the fundamental aspect of caregiving and all that it includes. The reality is that at some point in an individual’s medical or mental health journey, it isn’t just about medication management and treatment, it’s equally about all the aspects of caring for the individual. The culture, attitude, and feelings of the caregiver can have a critical and life-changing impact on recovery and long-term wellbeing. The simple truth is that a safe and effective healthcare environment rests in the hands of nurses.

Nursing is one of the fastest growing professions and encompasses such well-trained, talented professionals. But what ultimately separates them from other healthcare professionals are the intangibles. They are the constant, always there, ready to care, and help us heal. It’s what makes nurses so important. Despite some very difficult times in our communities and country, nurses have always been there for us in our most difficult and vulnerable moments of need to provide compassionate care.

We truly believe that our Aspire nurses are a combination of the two most important things we need in healthcare: skill and compassion. I hope you can find time to thank a nurse today; we can’t thank them enough!
