$1,500 Grant Awarded to the Women and Children Residential Treatment Program from Publix Super Markets Charities

Aspire is pleased to announce that the Women and Children Residential Treatment Program in Orange County has been awarded a grant of $1,500 dollars from Publix Super Markets Charities. This grant will be used to enhance the program’s daycare facility by purchasing pre-school reading curriculums, age-appropriate books, gardening supplies, as well as toys, and outdoor play equipment.

The Women and Children program serves adult women, including pregnant and postpartum women who struggle with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. The residents at this program receive substance abuse and mental health counseling, case management services, and life skills development classes. The program also emphasizes parenting skills and mother-child bonding in order to break the intergenerational nature of addictions.

Publix Super Markets Charities is a foundation dedicated to giving back to the people of its communities and has long focused on supporting youth and their education. For more information, visit their website at www.publixcharities.com.
