Program Summary:
The Women's Residential Program - Seminole provides residential treatment for substance dependent women who are motivated to gain the skills and support they need to live in recovery. Substance-abusing women age 18 and older will be considered based on clinical appropriateness and bed availability. The program uses a holistic approach that integrates traditional substance abuse services, including individual, group, and family therapy, with meditation and physical movement. Groups focus on recovery issues, relapse prevention, psychiatric care, domestic violence, anger management, coping skills, and decision-making skills. Case management services provide assistance with obtaining housing, employment, medical care, and assistance with legal issues as needed. services, housing, psychiatric care, and physical health issues are also addressed. Emphasis is put on learning and practicing appropriate leisure and recreational skills

Women's Residential Program - Seminole has four phases: Orientation, Commitment, Change, and Maintenence.

Each phase has specific therapeutic requirements to be completed before moving to the next phase. The program recognizes that each woman is on her own individual journey to recovery and therefore works through the phases in her own time.
During the third phase, "Change", clients are encouraged to pursue their educational or employment goals. A Case Manager works with each client helping them to reach their educational or employment goals.

Other Information about the Women's Residential Program - Seminole:
The campus is a tobacco/smoke free facility;
Family can visit on Saturday or Sunday after the client has completed the Orientation Phase and met with her counselor;
Program staff will help clients keep appointments with the court or probation; and, Phone Calls are allowed after client has completed the Orientation Phase.
