The Hacienda - Independent Housing

The Hacienda is a 12 unit HUD apartment complex devoted specifically to those dealing with chronic and persistent mental health issues. Each individual unit has its own bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living room area. There is a common recreation area and laundry facility on site. The complex is considered independent housing.
The staff Housing Coordinator tends to the administrative issues for the Hacienda and meets with residents to facilitate a residents meeting. Residents frequently plan events within the Hacienda to develop a sense of community within the complex.
Residents are encouraged to participate in daily activities outside the Hacienda such as Charlotte's Place Clubhouse or Turning Point Day programs. Some residents also seek employment in the community or utilize the services of Vocational Rehabilitation.
The program is subsidized by HUD (Housing and Urban Development) and is sponsored by Aspire Health Partners. The Hacienda is governed by its own independent Board of Directors.
The Hacienda, Inc. waiting list is opening for one bedroom and two bedroom applicants. It will be open from August 5, 2019 through September 16, 2019 OR until ten (10) candidates who appear to meet admission criteria submit applications for the one bedroom wait list and five (5) candidates who appear to meet admission criteria submit applications for the two bedroom wait list.
