Program Summary:
Aspire's Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program assists low-income Veterans with case management and supportive services to prevent Veteran homelessness and re-house homeless Veterans. Services are available for individual Veterans and their families who would otherwise be homeless without this assistance. Aspire's SSVF program is operated in partnership with the VA and with the Homeless Services Network of Central Florida. SSVF can be accessed through the Heart of Florida United Way's 2-1-1 hotline.

Program Description:
Aspire's Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program assists low-income Veterans with case management and supportive services to prevent Veteran homelessness and re-house homeless Veterans. Services are available for individual Veterans and their families who would otherwise be homeless without this assistance. Aspire's SSVF program is operated in partnership with the VA and with the Homeless Services Network of Central Florida. SSVF can be accessed through the Heart of Florida United Way's 2-1-1 hotline.

Available support includes navigation and assistance with the housing search process; outreach; temporary financial assistance covering rent, utilities, and move-in costs; case management to connect to auxiliary supportive services including assistance accessing behavioral healthcare; access to legal services; assistance with obtaining VA and other public benefits; and crisis resolution to prevent immediate housing loss. SSVF prioritizes quick access to safe and sustainable housing with no preconditions for the Veteran, and can offer participants up to two years of rental assistance.

Veterans must reside in Orange, Osceola, or Seminole counties and have an income under 80% of the Area Mean Income. Veterans must have served Active Duty and must have been discharged under any condition other than dishonorable. Veterans and their families must be literally homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Program Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
