Program Description:
The Juvenile Addiction Receiving Facility (JARF) is a community-based, secure facility licensed by the state. The JARF was designed to assist with substance abuse impaired juveniles, ages 12-17. The program's goal is to provide a secure environment for detoxification, stabilization and assessment. Clients assessed as substance abuse impaired and in need of additional residential treatment will be referred to various appropriate and licensed treatment facilities throughout the community after discharge or, in some cases, retained at the JARF for additional days for continuity of care. A multi-disciplinary treatment approach is used with all clients to provide the best care. The JARF will refer clients to existing adolescent services in the community such as mental health, other juvenile substance abuse services, the judicial system and the delinquency programs for after care services.

The JARF maintains a full range of daily treatment activities, which will include, but are not be limited to, group therapy, recreational therapy, social learning activities, community living skills, vocational/pre-vocational skills, psycho-educational lectures and assignments, and community/peer evaluations, as well as, in-house AA/NA meetings and other community speakers.
